|The 6th Party Congress of DEZA (term 2015 – 2020)|

In the morning of April 10th 2015, DEZA’s Party Committee held the 6th Party Congress, term 2015 – 2020. It was attended by entire DEZA’s party members. Mr. Huynh Tien_ Deputy Secretary of the Party of provincial agencies also took part in and directed the Congress.

In the last term, DEZA’s Party Committee was always positive, proactive, high sense of responsibility, exemplary in their work; lead and directed the government and the unions successfully implemented their key political tasks.
According to the Congress, 50 projects have issued invesment certificates with total registered capital of VND 62155.61 billion, equivalent to $ 3 billion. Until the end of 3/2015 at Dung Quat Economic Zone, they have been granted to 128 projects with a total registered capital of VND 181 196 billion (equivalent to $ 11.18 billion).
In addtion, they created about 20.000 works for labors, goods which was exported through ports about 15 million tons / year ; average industrial production value achived VND 115.817 billion; annual revenues in the province reached VND 28,000 billion. The targets are achieved and exceeded in comparison with the Resolutions of DEZA’s Party Committee and of Quang Ngai Province...
In 2015, they continue starting these projects: Tri Binh – Dung Quat port routes, embankment erosion control combined with rescue roads, immigrant and resettlement, main road connecting the north and south of Van Tuong urban, resettlement for creating fresh land for the project on expanding and upgrading Dung Quat oil refinery and building Dung Quat thermal power plant.
They also actively support mechanisms, policy, laws of the State for investors. Expecially, they are going to focus on removing the difficulties of income tax, land tax related to business of enterprises and problems about clearance for some projects. The period from 2011 to 2015, 18 new projects have been put in operation.
Goals up to 2020: Continue to develop Dung Quat Economic Zone in the direction of the general economy which is multidisciplinary and multi-sector including: Industry - Commerce - Services - Travel - Urban; in which focus on developing petrochemical industry, chemical industry, energy; steel rolling, shipbuilding, industrial engineering, industrial support, light industry, manufacturing and other industries correlated with the extraction of Dung Quat deep-water port and Chu Lai airport.
In the term, they aim at attracting investmen about $2-3 billion, implemented capital by the end of the term about $ 7 billion. The growth rate of industrial value and service reach 3-4% / year; Budget revenues in the province in 2020 reach VND 32.000 billion. Goods exported through ports about 18 million tons / year. New jobs will be created for 20,000 workers. Van Tuong urban will be developed to achieve some criteria of grade IV and Doc Soi urban achieve some criteria of grade V. The Party is going to admit at least 30 new members.
By 2025, Dung Quat Economic Zone will become a center of the industry - urban - services of the key central economic region which contains petrochemical center and the national energy with Van Tuong urban, Doc Soi and several satellite towns; It is also one of the important international transport of central region and Central Highlands and is the key force to promote the industrialization and modernization of Quang Ngai province.
In the congress, 15 comrades were elected to the new Executive Committe of DEZA, in which 11 comrades were re-elected. Mr. Le Van Dung_ Vice chairman was re-elected as the Secretary of the Party of DEZA; Mr. Dam Minh Le_ Vice chairman was re-elected as the Deputy Secretary of the Party; Mr. Huynh Van Gioi was also elected as the Deputy Secretary of the Party and was elected as the chairman of Inspection Committee.
In addition, in the Congress 11 official delegates and one alternate delegates were elected to attend the sixth Party Congress of Quang Ngai province.
